Contributing to better understand and apprehend appropriate practices in transfusion medicine, evidenced-based research is pivotal to help develop contextual policies and guidelines. In this light, we have been able to present scientific research at prolific international societies in blood transfusion. Such as at the International Society for Blood Transfusion (www.isbtweb.org) 33rd regional scientific congress in Gothenburg Sweden. With over 1960 delegates from over 77 countries, we presented 4 pieces of research covering blood transfusion service organization, patient blood management and the importance of safety practices in Sickle Cell Patients.
