Human capital building of blood bank staff is necessary to strengthen the healthcare system and ensure sustainability. Within six months, a contextual curriculum was designed and implemented among 13 head of the blood banks and laboratories of the Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Services (www.cbchealthservices.org) to help with the acquisition of novel skills in domain such as; Effective strategies for donor recruitment and retention, quality assurance, hemovigilance and development of a quality team.
